by Thelma Tyree

In Soul Articulation: A Poetry Collection, Thelma Tyree’s social commentary traverses diverse topics such as the implications of spirituality, love, and nature. Tyree’s poems are saturated with religious connotations, and her faith in God certainly underlies the motives behind her profound verses. Race is also explored, as Tyree successfully touches on the innate yet often unappreciated beauty of the black race. This passionate collection is sure to hit a familiar chord with readers, urging all to question the world around them.

Thelma Tyree, a native of Richmond, Virginia, is currently spending her retirement in Florida, after 45 years in the state of New Jersey. There she spent 30 years working for New Jersey Bell through the transition to Bell Atlantic as a technician and Verizon as a project manager. She has three biological children: Tara, Jessica, and David; and several self-adopted additions. She enjoys cooking and decorating. Thelma was inspired to publish Soul Articulation: A Poetry Collection from the belief that creative works should be shared among all the children of God.
