I worked with a lot of psychologists and therapists, wonderful people.” After completing the research phase of the book, Burland began assembling the stories that had been simmering in her mind. “I generally work in the afternoon. I like to clear the day, take care of all the business, and hopefully get some exercise and have a clean mind and just sit down and write, whether I want to or not.”
