by Ernest Marshall Campbell

“Life is always deeper than the depth we choose to dig.” This is just one of many sayings for life Ernest Marshall Campbell provides in this conversational collection of wisdom, observations, and thoughts. He offers advice for teenagers, Marines, and men, urging them to show respect, morality, and patience in all things to create an enjoyable and worthy life.

In advocating hard work, the joy of simplicity, and a devotion to God, Campbell reveals his own values and the lessons, both easy and hard, that he has had to learn in life in order to find his path and to educate others. Learn from his life as he learned from those around him and use his knowledge to improve your own life as you sift through his thoughts and ideas.

Now a retired United States Marine, Ernest Marshall Campbell served for 23 years and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan; Camp Pendleton, California; El Toro, California; Chanute AFB, Illinois; Albany, Georgia; Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii; and Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. He attended both Parkland College of Campaign, Illinois and Coastal Carolina Community College. He grew up in Riverhead, New York and currently lives in Jacksonville, Florida. He has one daughter, Keyana Alea Campbell, and is a member of the American Legion, National Notary Association, and he enjoys sports and movies in addition to writing.
