Life in a big city can be frightening! Especially if you're just a little bird named Momo, who one morning decided to spread his wings and adventure into the city.
His sudden flight left Bonnie heartsick, but determined to find a way to get a big city to help her get her little bird back.
This is a story that includes adventure, hope, frustration, love and yes…a small miracle. This story illustrates many lessons in life about commitment, overcoming obstacles, and most important, not losing hope when all hope is gone. Will Momo ever come home?

By Jonathan Devor (Santa Clara, CA USA) Momo Come Home is a bitter-sweet children's book, based on a true story of a girl's search for her run-away pet bird, Momo, through the streets of San Francisco. The sometimes sad always hopeful story recounts the good-willed attempts of strangers to help find Momo. However, Momo, being the extremely stubborn bird he is, evades all of their attempts. He hops around from tree to tree, perhaps because he wants to be free, perhaps to take in the sights of San Francisco, but ultimately does returns home, once he starts missing his owner. This book echoes many of the sentiments of the Bostonian classic "Make Way for Ducklings," so if you liked the ducklings, you'll love the adorable Momo. |
