by Robin Lynn Phillips
Breathing gently, slowly, carefully, easily taking air in and out, so Robin Lynn Phillips likens the natural process of air exchange by our bodies with the idea of the exchanges of the mind by Breathing Poetry.
An expressive collection of verse exploring philosophical themes of love, nature, mankind, God, and our relationships with each and each other, Ms. Phillip’s evocative words bring to mind free-flowing images and imaginations.
In “Wise Man,” she discusses the presence of a spirit being in a dream that leaves her with a sense of peace, joy, and hope upon awakening. Later, in “White Buffalo,” she befriends a whimsical cloud animal whose brilliant shape-shifting ability and colorful presence takes her on a fantastic journey through her imagination in the sky.
Colorful, suggestive, and multifaceted, Robin Lynn Phillips’s Breathing Poetry will leave you breathless in its scope and depth.
