Born in Pisgah, Alabama, Jeanie Dobbs was almost an August baby, having been born close to midnight.

Growing up with three brothers—her sister left their home when Jeanie was little—Jeanie was considered a tomboy.

In 1960 she went to Florida, married, and had six children, whom she considers the best things that ever happened in her life.

Amidst marriage failure four times, she married William “Ricky” Dobbs. They still live in Wildwood, Florida. She is a Christian woman who glorifies and loves the Lord.
