Yukkie, a Yorkshire Terrier puppy, is the last of her family to be adopted. Yukkie is afraid she will live her life alone with no one to truly love her. Not far way, a lonely woman begs her husband for a puppy to keep her company when he is away. He is initially reluctant, but they soon go on a search for the perfect dog.
When they happen upon the home of Yukkie’s breeder, Yukkie enchants the woman and the woman is convinced that Yukkie is meant to be her dog. However, she reconsiders when she learns that Yukkie is not the “perfect” Yorkie – her ears don’t stand up and she has some minor flaws. Yukkie is convinced that she would be the perfect dog to love and protect her owner. Will she find someone who loves her despite her imperfections? What adventures will she experience in her lifetime? What type of personality will she end up displaying throughout her life?

A retired business owner, Marilyn J. Sanders and her husband, Timothy, reside in Dolan Springs, Arizona. She has two adult children as well as four grandchildren. Marilyn enjoys writing songs, poems, and short stories.
