Join Tigre, Ricky-Ticky, and Miss Mouse as they romp through the woods of Cedar Hollow in an effort to help the wounded Great Horned Owl.

Tigre, the ever-curious pussycat, leads the pack in the effort to save the owl’s wing. When Miss Mouse, the long-winded friend to all, herds Tigre through Cedar Hollow in search of the necessary medical items, Ricky-Ticky keeps watch over the owl.

As nighttime approaches, the three race against time to set the owl’s wing and nurture him back to good health.

You’ll feel like part of the gang as you read about the adventures of everyday life in Cedar Hollow!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Lisa A. Scafuro grew up in Saddle River, NJ, and spent her summers on her parents’ twenty-five acre estate that served as a children’s day camp – Camp Scuffy (originally named “Cedar Hollow”) – just outside of metropolitan New York. As a teenager, she attended Art Students League in New York City and received her degree from the College of Architecture at Arizona State University.

She fondly reminisces about her childhood experiences living amongst the wildlife and hopes to share her belief in the power of nature as a teaching and healing tool; her illustrations are inspired by the animals that come to live and take refuge at Cedar Hollow.

After seventeen years working in the field of architecture in Philadelphia and New York City, Scafuro moved west to Arizona to pursue her new career as a freelance writer, journalist and poet. The author’s work has been greatly influenced by her friend and mentor Paolo Soleri, internationally renowned architect and environmentalist.

Lisa currently lives in Scottsdale, Arizona, with her daughter, golden retriever, and a pug. Please visit her website at www.lisascafuro.com
